Hi, I’m Alex
Holistic life coach, yoga instructor and nature lover…
I’ve always been curious about what makes up a happy and healthy life and what it means to truly be “well” in this human life.
My journey into wellness began in 2015 while working a corporate job in recruitment for a large tech company in London. Yoga, meditation, and breathwork became essential tools for my wellbeing, helping me overcome imposter syndrome, anxiety, and a deep-seated fear of public speaking. Beyond the physical practice, they offered me a completely different way of being.
Feeling called to explore holistic health further, I traveled to India in 2018 and studied yoga and Ayurveda. Stepping away from my story gave me a fresh perspective on life. I no longer felt bound to the expectations of how life “should” look, and instead trusted the feelings of joy and expansiveness.
In 2019, my partner Lars and I bought a 37ft sailboat and spent three years living on board. We sailed from Europe to the Caribbean, crossing the Atlantic and documenting our slow, simple life on the water. Being in tune with the weather and away from the conveniences of modern life gave me space to connect more deeply with both my inner and outer worlds.
Despite my love for the ocean, I’ve always had a fear of depth. In an attempt to overcome this challenge, I turned to freediving. It quickly became a beautiful extension of the breathwork and meditation practices I already enjoyed and has since become one of my favourite activities. Today, I’m an AIDA Assistant Instructor and love sharing this passion through my retreats at sea.
Music has also been a constant in my life. In 2015/2016, I traveled to Mexico City to record a Latino/jazz-inspired album with guitarist Ian Morel (Ian & Alex). I continue to make music in my spare time and am available for singing at events.
My Story
Before my life on the water, I worked as a recruiter for one of the top Fortune 500 companies, living the corporate city life in London and Paris. While I enjoyed the work, I felt uncertain about my next steps. City life took its toll on my nervous system and I often found myself longing for a more connected, creative way of living. Every weekend, I would escape the city, seeking out moments of wonder and wilderness.
Stepping away from the life my peers were living was challenging at first, but it opened the door to experiences I couldn’t have ever imagined.
Traveling and living in community with different cultures has been so much more than just a journey of exploration - it has been deeply transformative. These experiences challenged me to turn inward, question the stories, beliefs, and conditioning that shaped me, and ultimately helped me gain clarity on what truly matters to me and what I want my life to feel like. In a lifestyle full of novelty, change, and unpredictability, the one constant has been my relationship with myself. Finding a sense of home and anchor within, no matter where I am in the world, has helped me find a sense of ease and stability within.
Yoga, music, and nature have been the guiding forces in helping me stay connected to myself, always reminding me that we are part of something much bigger.
These three elements form the foundation of both my personal life and my work, serving as a catalyst for supporting others in their journey of self-expression and living more fully and expansively.

My values
-
I believe that adopting an open and curious mindset is essential for growth. It helps us explore, learn and evolve and is at the heart of any transformation process.
-
Becoming aware of our thoughts and feelings is about observing what comes up without judgement. This awareness creates space, allowing us to respond intentionally, rather than reacting. From this place, we can learn more about ourselves and act with more intention.
-
I believe the mind and body are more closely related than we think. Interoception is the ability to perceive and understand our internal bodily sensations and signals. By cultivating this awareness, we can deepen our understanding of what we’re feeling, and create space to connect with our deeper knowing, intuition and wisdom.
-
Cultivating compassion not only towards others but also towards ourselves is a truly powerful practice. By treating ourselves with love and kindness, we give ourselves permission to be exactly as we are, taking off that internal pressure. This compassion can then ripple out into our actions and interactions with the world.
